General Questions

Q: Can I remove the IM and Email options from the Gift Card popup?

A: Yes this is possible. Please contact us if you are interested in this.

Q: Can I have multiple Gift Card products or different product pages?

A: You can only create one Gift Card product page, but you can have as many variants as you like, and add as many images as you like to the pop-up. 

You can look at Spongebob example as a nice set up of our services with multiple variant images.

Q. Can customers purchase multiple gift cards in one order?

A. Yes! Customers can send gift cards to different recipients in one order.

All they need to do is click on the 'send as a gift' button, insert the recipient details and click 'add to cart'.

This process is repeated for additional recipients.

Once they reach the cart page, they will see all gift cards with the corresponding recipient details and personalized greeting messages.

Q: Can the “Send as a Gift” button appear on the collection page or on the product pop-up? 

A: Our button can't be inserted in collection pages, only product pages. So we recommend having a separate Gift Card page in your store’s main menu or product menu. This will also make it easier for your customers to find your Gift Card product.

Q: Can Rise’s Gift Cards be valid in multiple stores?

A: Good news! Rise’s gift cards can work in multiple stores.

Bug resolutions

Q: Why is the Gift Card applying for shipping at checkout?

A: This happens if the gift card is marked as a physical product.

To fix this please follow these steps-

  1. Go to your Shopify admin -> Products -> Rise’s Gift Card product.

In this page, go to the Variants section and edit each variant

Then Un-check the "this is a physical product" box

Q: Why does the Gift Card appear as “out of stock”?

A: This occurs when the ‘track quantity’ option is activated for the Gift Card product. 

To fix this please follow these steps-

  1. Go to your Shopify admin -> Products -> Rise’s Gift Card product.

In this page, go to the Variants section and edit each variant

  1. Uncheck the “track quantity” box

 

Q: Can the Rise Gift Cards work with third-party payment gateways?

A: Yes! Any payment gateway can be used when customers purchase the gift cards.

Q: Why are my Gift Cards not working at checkout?

A: Before being able to use gift cards, you have to enable the use of gift cards in your Shopify website.

To do so, go to your Shopify admin -> Products -> Gift Cards -> Sell Gift Cards
