What is GDPR & CCPA

GDPR and CCPA are two of the many regulations created to protect individuals’ privacy rights in different regions of the world. Here at Rise, we adhere to these types of legislation, to ensure the privacy rights of our merchants and their customers are being protected.

GDPR- The General Data Protection Regulation is a European Union regulation to protect the manner in which the personal data of EU citizens is collected, used, and processed.

Despite being an EU-based law, the GDPR affects companies globally as long as you have customers from the EU. For more information on the GDPR click here

CCPA- The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is a bill designed to give residents of California more control over their personal data and usage of that data, including choosing not to have their personal information sold, requesting to delete personal information, and having access to their information.

How Rise complies with these regulations

Regarding store data, our team works hard to comply with GDPR, CCPA and other privacy rules. We use a private and secure cloud to save the data, and the information we collect is stored only on secured and encrypted clouds.

Our data policy is to avoid saving private or specific information on external places - we give consumers the right to know how their data is used, why it’s being collected, and also to bar companies from selling the data. Upon uninstalling the Rise app, all data will be deleted within 2 weeks.
